My friends and I went to the Foo Fighters’ Concrete and Gold concert at the Rogers Centre (Toronto, Ontario). It was a great experience: loud music, great light displays and as always Dave Grohl can really sing LIVE! I also wanted to mention that there were other bands at the Foo Fighters’ Concrete and Gold concert: The Struts (from the UK), and The Beaches (from Toronto, Canada).
I have to give the Foo Fighters some mad respect in terms of being on time (8:30 pm on the dot), which was kind of rare for musicians according to my friends who have been to many concerts before (e.g., Madonna, Jonas brothers, etc).
(Video from Nguyen, July 12th, 2018)
I love Dave Grohl’s antics and teasing his fans with purposely placed pauses in the middle of the songs. Great guitar and drum solos (Wow Hawkins)! There are moments for every member of the band to shine (e.g., solos, and singing)!
Great crowd involvement, for instances: “My Hero”, and “Big Me”.
They played four songs from their Concrete and Gold (2017) album:
2. Run
4. The Sky Is a Neighborhood
6. Dirty Water,
and 9. Sunday Rain

“The Sky is a Neighbourhood,” and “Dirty Water” were new songs, which featured a quartet of backing vocalists that included one of Dave Grohl’s daughters (She was wearing a rainbow large sweater). Is it me or “Dirty Water” has the Queens Of The Stone Age – Go With The Flow vibe? I love it!

Most of the songs they sang were their greatest hits (of course!): “All My Life” to “Learn to Fly” to “The Pretender” to “Rope” to “These Days” to “My Hero” to “Everlong” and so forth. However, they didn’t play any of their Sonic Highways (2014) album.
I wish they played: “Arlandria” and “Dear Rosemary” from their Wasting Light (2011) album.
According to Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters have been coming to Toronto, Ontario for the past 23 years. Dave Grohl mentions to the fans to call their work and say: “call into work tomorrow and say that you’re good friend Dave Grohl said that he’s going to play all night”.
